Archie Roach is Australia’s beloved, respected and admired Aboriginal singer/songwriter; his voice and sensibility that is this country’s most important song line. Archie captivated Australians with his 1990 album, Charcoal Lane, and the signature song Took The Children Away. In mid 2011 Archie was diagnosed with the early stages of lung cancer, and had half a lung removed which required heavy rehabilitation. Archie has more recently made a triumphant return to the spotlight, and has released a stunning new album Into The Bloodstream, with a compilation of songs that share with listeners what Archie has learned from his life’s journey so far.
