James Morrison is a musical virtuoso. The multi-instrumentalist jazz musician and composer is best known for his mastery with the trumpet, though also plays trombone, euphonium, flugel hom, saxophone, double bass and piano. James was given his first instrument at seven years of age, formed his first band at nine, and was playing professionally at gigs at the tender age of thirteen. At only 16, James’ international career began to flourish with a breathtaking concert at the Monterey Jazz Festival. James has performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and for US Presidents Bush and Clinton at Parliament House in Australia. In 1997, he was honoured with The Order of Australia for his service to the arts in Australia.
