National ‘Just One Breath’ Competition Launched

The search is on for ‘Just One Breath’ heroes. Lung Foundation Australia has launched a national competition, looking for creative interpretations that will inspire Australians on the power of breath.

The competition aims to inspire Aussies to think about their lungs, and create stories that can be shared socially to promote better lung health.

Lung Foundation Australia banks a silver quarter

Lung Foundation Australia is 25 years young today and we’re taking a breath to reflect on how far we’ve come since 1990.

Lung Foundation Australia CEO Heather Allan said even with the huge advances in health management in the past quarter of a century, lung disease continues to be a major issue for Australians.

“Last year, we worked with the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research to develop a report that summarised, in one place and for the first time, information about the overall prevalence, burden and impact of lung disease in Australia,” Mrs Allan said.
